Froyo Support Bluetooth Voice Control | Another Benefit of Google Android 2.2

Nexus One with FroyoAnother benefit to the new Google Android 2.2 Froyo update that was not listed in the release notes is full support for voice control via Bluetooth. You can now control you Google Android device wirelessly and get that much more functionality out of it.
One reason I tried to stick with my T-Mobile HD2 was the fantastic support for Bluetooth headset voice control with Microsoft Voice Command that was integrated into the device. We saw Google Android 2.2 (Froyo) released for the Nexus One this past weekend and one surprisingly good addition in the update is full support for Google voice commands via Bluetooth headsets. I tried out the Jawbone ICON just to see how well Bluetooth worked and found the hands-free voice support to work very well with my updated Nexus One.

The Experiences Using Android 2.2 (Froyo)

There are some other improvements in the new update that I havent seen specifically listed and I found the following that are quite important to me:

    Ability to go to previous or next email in Gmail app using new bottom arrows
    New three button center Home screen layout (Phone, Apps, Browser)
    Preinstalled Twitter and Google Goggles
    Quick Gmail account switcher in top right corner of Gmail
    New task switcher supporting more running apps when you press and hold the Home button

Froyo | The Next Version of Android Operating System

Google just announced the next new version of the Android operating system, version 2.2 (aka Froyo), and the update started rolling out for Nexus One owners this weekend.

Nokia adds Apple’s iPad 3G to its lawsuit parade

Nokia has filed a lawsuit against Apple in a Federal court in Wisconsin over five patents. Nokia, which is already suing Apple over the iPhone, added iPad 3G products to its list of targets.
